Personalised Health Education

Healthy Living NT provides free, high-quality diabetes education services to all people with diabetes, pre-diabetes and those at risk, living in the Northern Territory. Our services are supported by the Northern Territory Government and delivered by qualified cardiac nurse educators, dietitians and physiotherapists.

Our educators work with you, your family and carers to understand your condition and develop practical management strategies. Whether you're newly diagnosed or managing diabetes long-term, we offer flexible education options tailored to your needs.

  • No doctor's referral required
  • Available in Darwin, Alice Springs, Palmerston and remote communities across the NT
  • Telehealth available if you can't attend in person
  • Qualified interpreters available on request

Heart health doesn’t exist in isolation - it’s a family affair. That’s why we encourage clients to bring family members and carers to our education sessions. When family members are involved, the knowledge and lifestyle changes are more likely to be embraced as a collective effort, fostering a supportive environment at home. Whether it’s preparing heart-healthy meals together or joining in on exercise routines, family involvement amplifies the impact of our work.

Community Health Promotion – Our cardiac educators and dietitians are available for community-oriented health promotion activities that raise awareness of heart disease in your community.

Corporate Education – We offer workplace wellness sessions on heart disease prevention and cardiac health management. (Note: Information provided is general in nature and not intended as individual management plans. Bookings require four weeks' notice; charges may apply.)
